The pleasing symmetrical appearance and hardiness of this native tree fern make it a favorite. The ideal fern for a difficult site ie sunny, snowy, windy, or frosty. It is a slow grower but forms a very large trunk up to 60 cm in diameter.
Grows to 2-3 meters tall in a garden situation.
Likes cool moist rich conditions and can withstand temperatures below -6 Celsius.
