An attractive medium sized native tree fern with a slender brown trunk. New Zealand icon. Its fronds are smaller and more compact than the larger tree ferns making it ideal as a container specimen in an entrance way where space is more limited, or for height in a native border.
Best positiion is on the south side of the house away from sun, wind and frost. (More hardy when older and established).
Highly recommended.
Fast growth rates of up to 10cm a year. Grows to maximum height of 3m.
